Description
Join UChicago Medicine, as a Ultrasound Technologist in the OBGYN UltraSound department at our DCAM clinic.
Performs Ultrasound and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. The technologist will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedures. The services are provided in accordance with industry standards, department protocols and hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound training program through a CAAHEP accredited school
- 2 years Ultrasound experience in abdominal, small parts, pediatric and vascular exams preferred
- Effective communication skills and excellent patient care skills required
- Handle high pressure, fast paced work environment
- Excellent team work
- Ability to work independently
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current registry by ARDMS
- CPR and BLS training required through the American Heart Association
