Position Summary:
  The Center for Complex Biological Systems is an Organized Research Unit within UCI's Office of Research. The primary goal of the Center is to enhance and support interdisciplinary research and education in the field of systems biology among researchers in the schools of biological sciences, medicine, engineering, physical sciences and information and computer sciences.
  Uses professional concepts. Applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve various issues. Works on problems of limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contacts will be both internal to the department, and external with other UCI departments and associated business units. UCI campus in person preferred, may consider hybrid/remote work.   Total Compensation:

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $29.26 - $34.77 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $29.26 - $51.29 (Hourly Rate).

  Required:

• 1-3 years of previous experience working with either University, academic or private industry in a financial transactional environment.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments. 
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely. 
• Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. 
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. 
• Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment. 
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities. 
• Ability to function as a member of a team.
   

Preferred:  

• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. 
• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
