  Position Summary:   The Division of Finance and Administration (DFA) provides services and support to over 50,000 students, faculty, and staff with the mission of advancing UCI's brilliant future and the vision of becoming world-class campus partners. DFA serves the university as planning partners, problem solvers, and solution providers—striving to make it as easy as possible for people to get the services they need, when they need them. The Procurement Services team leads through collaboration and best practices the acquisition of quality goods and services by implementing processes and procedures that deliver high quality expertise, significant value, and excellent customer service
  Uses professional financial service concepts to improve compliance, clarify policy, and maintain accurate records of audit findings for the PALCard Audit Program. Continually customizes analytics, procedures, and documentation of the Audit Program for the purpose of identifying higher risk transactions, purchasing compliance, review, and evaluation. Communicates accurate audit findings to cardholders, reviewers, management, and Internal Audit when necessary. Applies the University's Procurement Card Program (PALCard) and Low Value Purchase Order system to review, analyze, resolve, and audit purchase transactions. Processes all card applications via KFS and Access Online US Bank interface, close accounts, and assists in training all new cardholders. Manages various PALCard functions and special projects including training student employees with data mining and recordkeeping activities.

  The expected pay range for this recruitment is $26.92 - $30.00 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $26.92 - $46.36 (Hourly Rate).

Required:  
  • 3 or more years of experience in purchasing goods and services or auditing
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. in Business Administration, Accounting
  • Working knowledge of applying and interpreting procurement/financial processes, low value purchasing risks, control policies and procedures, Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail with confidential information, ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment, organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making. 
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

 

Preferred:  
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. 
  • Skills to provide coaching and mentoring to support staff.

 

Special Conditions Required:  
  • Must pass a background check. 
  • Hybrid work schedule within office meetings 4 times a month and as necessary for training meetings
