Position Summary:

The Center for Investment and Wealth Management is a resource for everyone to increase financial literacy, lessen monetary instability for the benefit of society, and cultivate the next generation of financial industry leaders. We accomplish this through campus and community engagement.

 

This role does not require experience in the investment and wealth management industry. The role supports programming catered towards UCI students and the wider community through on-campus and youth summer programs.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in program coordination and event management within a dynamic and collaborative environment. While prior experience in finance or investment management is not required, candidates with a passion for working with students and the community are encouraged to apply. Total Compensation:

$24.71 - $27.00 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $24.71 - $41.86 (Hourly Rate)

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability and willingness to present/speak before a large group.
  • Experience with and ability to research and develop program presentations and materials. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.


Preferred:

  • Professional experience in roles that involve program coordination, event management, or similar responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with youth summer programs or community outreach initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with community contacts 
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing collaborative projects requiring teamwork
  • Experience working in a university or educational setting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms
  • Bilingual Spanish/English language skills


Special Conditions Required:

 

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations/ sites in one day.
  • Evening & weekend commitments required occasionally
