Position Summary: 

Tenet Healthcare has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst reporting to the Assistant Chief Financial Officer. The Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst serves a key analytical role at Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, California. 

 

The Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst serves primary responsibilities blended in financial analytics and general accounting. This role will be responsible for providing strategic reporting and information to hospital leadership by analyzing operational volumes, expense & service utilization, and the competitive position in the market for business planning. The Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst will also be responsible for accurately performing duties related to the month-end close process of revenue and expense with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. 

 

Candidates for the Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst must possess highly developed knowledge of hospital financial, clinical and operations systems. The position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data components outputted from these tools to ensure accurate recommendations for Service Line Margin Management and Labor Productivity. 

 

The role will manage new projects incorporating advanced statistical and descriptive analysis on several business intelligence platforms for executive leadership. The position is responsible for creating pro-formas and presentations for a clear understanding and decision-making purposes utilized by senior leadership teams. 

 

The Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst will support:

 

• Project Management for new strategic growth initiatives while overseeing and delegating tasks as required.

• Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions differing from project to project.

• Serve as the department SME and support ad-hoc analytical and data source requests.

• Present data with insightful actionable next steps.

• Month-end close process.

• Budgeting / Forecast.

Salary Range: 

 

Annual Rate  Minimum          $77,402.16                                 Midpoint  $95,734.80                                 Maximum  $119,976.48

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

• BBA in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree of MBA or equivalent preferred, CPA or PMP preferred.

• Five+ year's progressive experience in a hospital accounting and analytics. 

• Strong presentation, negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills a must.

• Advanced analytical and interpretative skills. Advanced project management skills required. 

• Experience with PBAR and Cerner highly preferred.

• General knowledge of hospital financial, clinical and operations systems required. Candidate must be an expert in Excel, with Macro skills and be familiar with programming languages. SPSS and Tableau preferred.

• Advanced MS Office user, proficient with Pivot Tables, relational databases and data mining skills required.

• Strong presentation, negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills a must.

• Advanced analytical and interpretative skills. Advanced project management skills required.
