Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) within Information and Educational Technology (IET) creates, deploys, and manages business, academic, and infrastructure systems. The Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration team supports campus (DavisMail) email solutions, collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Google workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Box drive storage. This position has a high campus impact as it supervises the Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration team supporting mission-critical systems and applications used by the entire population of student, faculty, staff, and university affiliates.

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Enterprise Messaging, Collaboration, and IAM, the Enterprise Email and Collaboration Supervisor works with a high degree of decision-making autonomy in the area of development and support for digital workplace services encompassing e-mail, cloud storage, collaboration tools, and other related services. As the supervisor of the Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration team, key responsibilities include supervision of direct reports, development of collaboration and messaging architecture and design, support and development of security monitoring and compliance controls, and supporting product and service management. Leads, mentors and oversees the System Administration and development staff in support of mission critical IET services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hire MUST be located in-state. (Out of state applicants will be considered but must relocate instate if hired). This position can be done primarily remote with the expectation that the employee must be available to come on site should management deem it necessary for emergencies, meetings, support activities, etc. No reimbursement of travel expenses, travel time not considered work hours.
- Work occasional evenings/nights, especially in response to emergencies. Must be routinely on-call as required and carry cell phone.
- Occasional Travel to campus and off campus locations.
- Vacation is restricted during peak work periods.
- Adhere to workplace safety practices, read information communicated about workplace safety, complete required safety training on time, and report any workplace safety issues promptly to their supervisor or the designated safety coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Experience leading and supervising diverse technical teams including recruitment, development and performance management.
- Experience and in-depth knowledge managing collaboration and messaging tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Entra ID, One Drive, Box, Teams, and Google workspace.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Experience and proficiency with PowerShell, VBScript, or similar languages, to manage and guide technical staff in best practices and implementation of components developed with these technologies.
- Experience and skills to assess and implement computer security including the implementation of organization-wide security standards.
- Experience and skill to perform needs analysis, system planning, design, procurement, testing, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, problem remediation, documentation, and capacity planning.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Interpersonal and written communication skills to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels, with the ability to produce and present project proposals and plans, service agreements, and status reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with relational database systems both traditional and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Technical experience with system, hardware and service administration of a complex distributed and integrated windows environment, including but not limited to configuration and maintenance of Exchange, Lync, Active Directory, DNS and other Windows applications.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Knowledge of infrastructure systems, including Active Directory, DNS, Azure, ADFS, and LDAP.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and experience with Identity governance and administration (IGA) and Access Management (AM) tool.
- Skill to consistently lead technical support and project management of small to medium sized projects with minimal direction.
- Skill to assess training needs then develop individual plans for staff to advance their skills.
- Skill to evaluate new and emerging collaboration and messaging technologies to advise and implement migrations or transitions from older technologies.
