UPMC in Central Pa is seeking a qualified nurse practitioner for our Surgery Optimization Clinic in Harrisburg. The nurse practitioner will independently participate in the delivery of direct patient care as it applies to pre-surgical patients in the Preoperative-optimization, assessment, consultation and treatment clinic.

Providers in the Surgery Optimization Clinic work with patients to improve their health prior to surgery focusing on uncontrolled diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking cessation, and nutrition with the boa of reducing the risk of surgical complications. In this rewarding and dynamic opportunity, this provider will enjoy an excellent work-life balance as a part of a multidisciplinary team in a well-supported, collegial environment.

Position Details:

  • No Call
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • Ideal experience includes anesthesia, pre-op, inpatient endocrinology and any surgical specialty
  • Team oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate positive clinical outcomes.

Professional Skills:

  • One year experience preferred.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure and Registration by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Graduate of an accredited CRNP program
  • Valid/current CPR/ACLS certification
