In 2014, the Office of Undergraduate Education established the Undergraduate Success Scholars (USS) program to respond to the completion gap of undergraduate students at UT Dallas. The USS program provides select, predominantly non-scholarship undergraduates formal guided pathways that include engagement opportunities, academic support, mentorship, and guidance to meet both personal and professional goals. The USS program aims to increase student enrollment, success, and retention, which aligns with the Office of Undergraduate Education's mission and UT Dallas' strategic goals.

Additionally, the Texas Leadership Scholars (TLS) program is a scholarship program founded in 2022 by 18 member institutions as a state-wide, leadership program, aimed at guiding Texas high school graduates to develop their leadership skills and continue their education at a public Texas university. Fully funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), cohorts of students are connected with peer and professional networks and mentors, participate in unique leadership development programs, and receive opportunities for undergraduate research and study abroad options.
