Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our dynamic team in the field of control, optimization, and learning for robotic systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at advancing the capabilities of robotic systems across various domains.

Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.



Preferred Education and Experience

  1. A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  2. Strong background in control theory, optimization methods, and machine learning algorithms, with a focus on applications in robotics.
  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB for algorithm development and implementation.
  4. Experience with robotic platforms and simulation environments (e.g., ROS, Gazebo, MATLAB Simulink) is highly desirable.
  5. Demonstrated track record of research productivity, including publications in relevant conferences and journals.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Research Development: Conduct innovative research in the areas of control theory, optimization techniques, and machine learning algorithms tailored for robotic systems. Explore novel methodologies to enhance the autonomy, adaptability, and efficiency of robotic platforms.
  2. Algorithm Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement advanced control algorithms, optimization frameworks, and learning techniques for real-time application in robotic systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate algorithms into existing robotic platforms.
  3. Experimental Evaluation: Design and execute experiments to validate the performance and robustness of developed algorithms in simulated and real-world environments. Analyze experimental data to gain insights into algorithm behavior and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Publication and Dissemination: Prepare research papers for publication in top-tier conferences and journals within the robotics and control communities. Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars to disseminate knowledge and engage with the scientific community.
  5. Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate with faculty, fellow researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students on collaborative research projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the research team, including graduate students and interns.
