Description

The Account Manager will develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue. Ensure that organizational services consistently meet client needs. Work independently and is responsible for sustaining and renewing assigned book of accounts. Typically handles small to medium size accounts.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Service a book of business representing approximately $2-3M premium.
  • Analysis of policy forms, prepares coverage comparisons, identifying exposures, making appropriate recommendations to clients and assisting clients with understanding of policy coverages.
  • Renew all assigned policies to ensure they are issued according on a timely basis and in accordance with prescribed workflows. This includes detailed documentation in Epic system.
  • Monitor reports on Epic (agency answer) as assigned by Dept Manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with assigned clients, handling all servicing requests.
  • Direct and frequent involvement and negotiations with insurance company underwriters.
  • May involve training of other staff members as well as participation in training of new employees.
  • Reliance on industry experience and judgement to plan and assist in accomplishing department goals as set by department manager and senior management.
