WHAT YOU'LL DO:

In partnership with Global lead design departments, you'll design, Develop and bring to market the most well executed and innovative Wetsuits and wetsuits accessories in the industry. Execute on all system input for style management globally and communicate with factories to bring together and deliver seasonal collections.

 

  • Lead the design, development, style set up and execution of products in the Wetsuits and wetsuit accessories, for Liberated brands, as well as system set up techniques, treatments and processes to remain on the leading edge of the wetsuits category / applied across category.
  • Help implement innovation platforms across multiple categories / participate in blue-sky projects, including sustainability, to drive the brand and performance categories forward.
  • Identify new sourcing opportunities to drive quality, innovation, sustainability, and speed to market for the brand.
  • Ensure product lines are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner.
  • Ensures product development is in accordance margin requirements and production calendar.
  • Acts as liaison between merchandising, design and production teams
  • Work closely with garment and accessories design in reviewing prototypes and submits for approval for all categories from design concept to production.
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure they understand the design requirements through daily communication.
  • Ensure that all artwork, prints, and fabrics for sourcing are sent in correct format with all correct information to suppliers.
  • Work closely with production team to ensure that styles are executed properly in bulk production.
  • Work within Centric PLM to ensure that all necessary content, color codes, and correct style information is available for style set up in PLM.
  • Work with Full circle ERP system to ensure that all information is entered, correct and up to date.
  • Responsible for PLM management including style set-up for all styles and trims by creating and maintaining BOM's, updating style information and changes as necessary, all sample comments, and approvals.
  • Manage time and action calendar for assigned categories to meet all deadlines.

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, Business administration or Retail Merchandising preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in product development.
  • knowledge of product design and development.
  • Knowledge of product development process, calendar, and timelines and deliverables.
  • Ability to identify key marketplace trends and opportunities that are consistent with brand values and design aesthetic.
  • PLM system knowledge preferred.
  • In-depth product development knowledge of apparel and swim categories
  • Effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and partners to insure timely delivery of quality product.
  • Knowledge of product development calendar, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop key relationships with vendors suppliers. 
  • Must be able to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be proactive with a solution/result-oriented attitude.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and follow through skills
  • Must be highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Must be MAC computer literate in Applications – Adobe Illustrator, Word, and Excel

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $90,000 -  $115,000. This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
