Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a skilled and dynamic physician to serve as the Medical Director of Student Health Services. This leadership position plays a crucial role in ensuring the provision of high-quality medical and mental healthcare services to diverse student population of approximately 1,900 students. Educational programs include MD, MD/PhD. PhD, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology and Communication Sciences and several healthcare aligned master-level programs. The Medical Director provides strategic and operational leadership, clinical oversight, and guidance to dedicated healthcare professionals which include physicians, nurses, counselors and ancillary personnel. This is a busy, high paced, high-touch practice with more than 16,300 annual patient encounters; onsite ancillary services include laboratory and pharmacy. Student satisfaction with the care and service provided is extremely high, receiving 100% satisfaction as surveyed by the AAMC's annual Graduate Satisfaction Survey.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean and Vice Chancellor for Medical Education, the Medical Director serves as a senior leader to support the School of Medicine's strong commitment to the health and wellness of its student community. The Medical Director will envision and enact a holistic multidisciplinary model of service delivery providing diagnoses and care plans to promote optimal physical and mental health with a focus on prevention, education and health promotion. The Medical Director also establishes and maintains close collaborations with campus partners such as Student Affaires/Success teams, Curriculum and Academic Affairs, Disability Resources and also serves as the liaison with off-campus medical and mental health providers.

Qualified candidates will possess an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice and hold or be qualified to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Missouri. Preferred experience includes an understanding of and direct experience in a college or university setting, commitment to and respect for student privacy obligations, Women's Health, and prior leadership or management experience.
