The Heart and Vascular Clinic scheduler/receptionist is responsible for the efficient and accurate scheduling of clinic office visits and all ordered diagnostic testing maintaining clear written and verbal communication with internal and external customers. Tasked with obtaining relevant and timely information for internal utilization. The receptionist/scheduler will display an ability to interact with internal and external personnel, patients, physicians and peers with courtesy. This position is department liaison to all customers and must maintain a customer service oriented demeanor at all times and exemplify the hospital mission. Heart and Vascular Clinic receptionist/schedulers must demonstrate professionalism, positive work ethic, and effective communication skills.
Job related experience in reception and scheduling duties. Relevant physician/ medical office experience preferred. Experience with electronic scheduling, patient registration, insurance authorizations, typing, filing, answering telephone, copying and interacting with employees and the public preferred. American Heart Association BLS certification. Basic computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and MicroMD preferred.
