Assists with clerical duties of Rehabilitation Services and other assigned supportive tasks as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School graduate or equivalent including ability to read, write and comprehend some medical terminology.
2. CPR Required

EXPERIENCE:
1. Basic Computer Skills/Word & Excel documents/Navigate the organizations EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:
1. Two months previous hospital experience preferred.

1. Responsible for assisting the licensed clinicians in the treatment of patients, adhering to instructions given by the clinicians and following established treatment routines.
2. Responsible for cleaning and management of rehabilitation equipment.
3. Manages patient charge reconciliation on a daily basis, including charge entry and corrections as needed.
4. Responsible for transporting patients as assigned with attention to safety.
5. Manages supplies and inventory for rehabilitation services including ordering materials and stocking as needed.
6. Maintains statistics regarding volumes, revenue, and expenses for rehabilitation services on a monthly basis.
7. Calculates and reports daily productivity to Director and Team Leaders.
8. Additional tasks supportive to Rehabilitation Services may be assigned as needed.

1. The national Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommends minimizing the need for employees to manually lift patients, and limit safe patient handling to 35 pounds.  All transfers, lifts and re-positioning will be completed utilizing the lift equipment and/or other patient handling aids as indicated by the patient's profile and appropriate algorithms.
2. Heavy/Hard work:  Work requires strength and/or stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying of materials and equipment weighing 40+lbs.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

1. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a professional manner with all customers and associates.
2. Able to perform assignments and work under pressure.
3. Ability to be scheduled for work based on operations needs of the hospital.
4. Ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests, in person and via telephone.
5. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
6. Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, infection and hazardous material control.
