Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Student Radiology Technologist for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.

Position Reports to: Director of Cath Lab
Job Summary: Assists the Cath Lab Staff with various procedures necessary to the department's operational efficiency. Assists with imaging processing, image management, and patient care. Carries out duties as directed by various Cath Lab Staff in the assigned area. Is knowledgeable in the daily activities of a Cath Lab and provides patients with the uttermost quality care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Following Wilson Health's mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies, under the direction of the manager and supervision of a licensed radiological technician, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of the patient. The patient population would include the middle-aged adult patient and the geriatric patient.
- Supervision requires that an RT be readily available by telephone, on-duty presence, and responsible at all times for the directions and action of the student.
- Assists technologists and nurses in procedures and in performing medical treatment in emergency situations.
- Maintains knowledge of the location and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
- Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.
- Work towards being ACLS certified.
- Positions patient; performs and documents patient assessment as relates to the procedural encounter; exports images to PACS; accesses and utilizes computer HIS/RIS as needed.
- Prepares Cath Lab room, equipment, supplies utilizing surgical sterile technique.
- The GXMO/Student Rad technologist will work within the scope as defined by the Ohio Department of Health.
- The GXMO/Student Rad technologist will not independently perform fluoroscopic procedures or surgery cases.
- Completion of the first year of an accredited Radiology Technologist program and enrolled in the second year
- GXMO (General X-ray Machine Operator) Certification required.
- BLS required or willing to obtain once starting in the role
