We are committed to making a difference for our neighbors, friends, and family and our vision is to be a trusted, nationally recognized leader of innovative, collaborative community health.    The Role You'll Contribute: Plan, organize and direct the fiscal services department, including the development, interpretation, coordination and administration of the hospital's operating procedures in finance, accounting, insurance, patient accounting, internal controls, budgeting and auditing.   The Value You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Manage hospital's financial resources.
  • Develop departmental objectives and organization structures.
  • Assist the development of hospital‑wide departmental operating and capital budgets and ensure that operations are maintained within allocated funds.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate records and reports.
  • Provide for organization and maintenance of an effective system of accounting and cost determination.
  • Continually review and modify cost systems and data collection to assure maximum cost reimbursement for patient service.
  • Prepare periodic reports outlining the hospital's financial position in all areas of assets, liabilities, income and expense, based on past, present and planned future operations.
  • Prepare and effect timely filing of federal, state, hospital association, third party, and other financial reports as required.
  • Stay current with national and local economic conditions and serve as advisor to the Board of Trustees (Board) on their impact.
  • Recommend budget planning guidelines to the Board, coordinate preparation of current operating and capital budgets with Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") for the hospital and all subsidiaries. 
  • In conjunction with CEO of hospital, present hospital‑wide budgets to the Board for review and approval.
  • Provide for current and adequate insurance protection to protect the hospital from liability and other losses.
  • Investigate, analyze, and present recommendations to the Board with respect to costs, charges, rates, etc. to maximize income in support of hospital activities. 
  • Direct cost impact studies of policies, programs, third parties and local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Coordinate the hospital auditing firm representatives.
  • Audit financial performance for all hospital activities.
  • Participate in activities with third parties to expedite payment of accounts.
  • Develop, implement, direct and maintain hospital‑wide information systems policies and procedures to insure consistent, timely and accurate electronic data processing and management information.
  • Participate in professional activities and maintain professional affiliations to keep current on trends, changes and legislation in the field.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the CEO and the Board.
The Expertise and Experience You'll Need to Succeed: Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent education/experience in accounting and/or finance (C.P.A.,).  Sufficient previous financial management experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
