Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Clinical Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse for our Occupational Health site in Jackson Center, Ohio.   Key Perks and Benefits:

  Employment Status: Full Time Working Hours: 40 hours per week (80 hours bi-weekly) Shift: 1st Shift (Hours between 7:00am-4:00pm) Position Reports to:  Occupational Health Manager   Department Description: Wilson Health's Occupational Health Department provides occupational health services that are robust benefiting both employers and employees reducing absenteeism and turnover, increasing productivity, morale, job satisfaction, and decreasing sickness and injuries amongst employees. The following services are offered by our department: Drug & Alcohol Testing, Education Sessions, Employee Assistance Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Physical Examinations, Wilson Onsite Wellness, Worksite Health & Injury Management, and Telemedicine Services.    Job Summary:  The Clinical Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assisting patients from lobby to office exam room where they will obtain various pertinent patient information (in relation to training) such as vital statistics, current medical concerns, as well as update on current medications and allergies   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physicians and anticipate duties that need to be performed.
  • Strive to make physician as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Greet patients and assist patients to examination rooms.
  • Obtains and accurately records vital signs, medical concerns, current medication, and allergies.
  • Educates patients/family members on topics related to the patient's medical conditions and care with guidelines established by the physician. 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or LPN diploma
  • Graduation from accredited Medical Assisting program/LPN Program and/or two (2) years of experience working in the medical field as a medical assistant or LPN.   
  • Prior Occupational Health experience a plus
