About the Role
We're looking for a TourBuilder Design Engineer — a hybrid creative-technical specialist who can bring real-world locations to life through immersive, interactive 360° virtual tours.This role sits at the intersection of visual storytelling, spatial design, and front-end development. You'll be responsible for crafting intuitive, visually engaging experiences that connect users to spaces in a meaningful way — whether it's a museum, campus, venue, or branded environment.
What You'll Do
- Design immersive 360° virtual tours using connected scenes that reflect real-world layouts and user flow.
- Strategically plan and select capture points to ensure clarity, aesthetic appeal, and spatial coherence.
- Implement branding and design guidelines to customize the visual theme for each client.
- Add interactivity such as hotspots, info spots, audio/video embeds, and external links.
- Ensure visual and functional consistency across all scenes in a tour.
- Collaborate across departments (photo editors, designers, project managers) to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output.
Technical & Design Skills:
- Basic proficiency in HTML/CSS (able to read, write, and troubleshoot front-end code)
- Understanding of JavaScript for implementing light interactivity or customization
- Strong visual eye for alignment, composition, and spatial layout
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented with a passion for clean, polished work
- Creative thinker with a knack for visual storytelling and spatial design
- Self-motivated with strong time-management and project juggling skills
- Problem-solver who can diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Adaptable and eager to learn new platforms, tools, or techniques
Good to Have
- Experience with 360° content platforms (e.g. Pano2VR, 3DVista, Matterport, Marzipano)
- Familiarity with responsive web design or mobile-first development
- Interest in architecture, photography, game design, or spatial computing
