Job Title – Employee Health Nurse
Job Summary –

TheEmployee Health Nurse is a registered nurse who functions in a specialized areaof nursing in the role of employee health, consultant, practitioner, andresource person. This RN assures compliance of all employees with screening andimmunizations, follow-up after exposures (TB, Meningitis, blood-borne/bodyfluid, and others as identified), and compliance with OSHA regulationsregarding employee health and occupational health issues. Maintains theEmployee Health database, Respond.May also instruct BLS classes.


Position Reports to

Vice President of Human Resources, Alaska Regional Hospital Key Interactions –

This position will interact with all hospital employees,volunteers, students, contractors, and physicians as needed, ensuring thattheir interactions with stakeholders are aligned with business goals, customerneeds and hospital policies.  



Job Requirements(Education and Experience) –

  • Stateof Alaska RN License Required
  • 2year/Associate Degree

Job Requirements(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) –

  • Knowledge of State of Alaska law, State of AlaskaWorkers' Compensation law, Nurse Practice Act, Federal/CMS regulations and  Joint Commission standards
  • Organizational, Verbal/Follow verbal instructions, Interpersonal,Customer Relations, Mathematical, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Computer,Minimum score of 80 on Nursing medication test
  • Make decisions under pressure, Handle multiplepriorities, Work alone, Attention to detail
