ABOUT THE TEAM

We're a growing team powering the graphic processing units (GPUs) of Cloud Service Providers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc. As cloud computing sets the tone in the new generation of technology, we work to enable AI, High Performance Compute (HPC), cloud gaming and other creative uses of GPUs.

 

THE ROLE

We are seeking a candidate to design and develop the software stack for AMD Instinct Accelerators, supporting HPC, AI/Machine Learning, Cloud Gaming, and Workstation applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience collaborating with other developers to solve technical challenges. This role requires close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure AMD's GPU solutions remain industry-leading.

 

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate will have multiple years of industry experience and strong technical and analytical skills in kernel-mode software development.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with world-class cloud providers to enable AMD Accelerators for HPC and AI
  • Leading the development of AMD's GPU virtualization solution spanning Windows/Linux GPU software to a variety of Hypervisors (including KVM, Hyper-V, VMware)

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ programming and software design, with a strong object-oriented programming background, including debugging, performance analysis, test design, and the ability to write high-quality code with keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled in developing software for Linux, Windows, and/or VMware environments
  • Capable of developing and debugging kernel-mode device driver software
  • Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus
  • Experience with Open-Source community contribution is considered a plus
  • Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate effectively on complex projects
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, highly motivated self-starter with good interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy tinkering with AI, containers and other new technologies

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering)
