Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. The FAST Labs RF, Electronics, and Cyber (R3) Product Line is a leading multidisciplinary research and development organization leveraging the cyber-physical domain to create new discriminating capabilities for the warfighter. Through collaboration with Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), academia, and the industrial research base, our organization develops new technologies to seed future military capabilities.
As a Senior Scientist, you will design, develop, execute, and implement cyber-research projects involving complex sub-systems. You will investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and cyber concepts to complex algorithms and potential products.
A successful candidate will be responsible for performing in depth security analysis of software, firmware, hardware and network systems. They will support the design, development, execution, and implementation of novel, state-of-the-art algorithms and advanced scientific solutions to complex cyber security problems. In addition to direct project work, the candidate will support technical contributions to proposals, internal and external technical briefings, and internal research and development projects.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ year of professional research experience, Master's Degree with 2+ years of professional experience, or Doctorate with research experience
- Participates in professional societies
- Competent in Python or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Assembly Language Programming and/or Disassembly
- Familiarity with computer and processor architectures and operating system internals,

- Co-authored publications
- Proven Reverse Engineering experience of embedded systems
- Strong programming skills in C, C++
- Hardware reverse engineering experience
- MATLAB experience
