This role requires associates to work out of a MVH North America hub location – Vancouver, WA | Santa Monica, CA | Tampa, FL | New York City, NY.

Why This Role Matters:

The P&O leader for the MVH Strategic Reinvention Office (SRO) is a pivotal role which will be responsible for shaping a people strategy which enables a successful MVH global transformational agenda.  This role partners with senior executives, cross-functional leaders, and external design partners on large-scale, complex initiatives. The P&O Lead for the SRO provides overall stewardship and project management for MVH transformation programs and P&O functional leadership for key transformation Workstreams.  This role supports P&O governance deliverables and drives functional decision making & alignment and creates updates and reporting for all stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

You Will:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Drive strategic P&O partnership within the SRO and across key initiatives in collaboration with leadership, banner and MVH P&O, and external design partners.  Provide leadership as the strategic business partner for large, complex projects such as MVH's global operating model transformation
  • Manage a multi-year strategy and ensuring alignment across multiple themes, budgets and workstreams.
  • Partner with senior leadership to design people strategies tailored to MVH's transformation, such as Associate selection & placement process, transition plans, and Associate support and risk mitigation.
  • Develop business cases for people governance submissions, work as a partner to the Global Hub Global Leadership Team, Global SRO Head, and Global MVH P&O leaders to align value creation, funding prioritization, and P&O strategic alignment.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to create focus and attention on transformation initiatives, working closely with others on creating a compelling case for change from a people and business perspective.
  • Leverage people analytics to provide actionable insights and inform decision-making on transformation initiative planning, prioritization and milestone measurement.
  • Partner with P&O leaders to standardize and optimize people-related transformation deployment processes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support other transformation initiatives, as required, with P&O functional leadership and advisory support.
  • Other job duties as necessary.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Bachelor's degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience with a healthcare delivery background (veterinary or human healthcare) is preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in P&O, strategy, finance, or related function, preferably in a large, multi-unit organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to connect drivers of business performance with sound strategies in Total Rewards, P&O Data, Technology, and Analytics.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale P&O initiatives that impact multiple business functions.
  • Proven track record in P&O business partnership, talent development, talent planning, and overall Associate relations principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to create business cases in writing and in visuals
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business needs into effective P&O solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of change management principles, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate and manage change with empathy and confidence.

Salary Range: $241,500 – $377,344

Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and market competitiveness.

Special Working Considerations:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
