The role of Director of DC Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of the warehouse, distribution, inventory management, and facility operations at our brand-new distribution center! In this role, you will bring your expertise in logistics, team leadership, and operational planning to ensure safety, efficiency, and customer service excellence across all distribution functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, including HR, Loss Prevention, and Delivery Operations, and many others to drive continuous improvement, productivity, and alignment with corporate goals. This is an on-site position located in our OH based Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply your expertise in warehouse and inventory management to lead daily operations and maintain safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Partner with HR to support recruiting, hiring, and team development, and ensure alignment on all people-related practices.
- Apply your skills in budget and P&L management and operational planning to meet financial goals and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and efficient flow of goods and information.
- Utilize leadership and coaching skills to develop team members, manage performance, and promote a culture of accountability.

Minimum Qualifications
- Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience:
- 10+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in big-ticket or furniture distribution.
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams
- Other Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, WMS ( SAP a plus), customer service experience, bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Work Environment
- This position is primarily on-site based in our Distribution Center

Expected Hours of Work and Travel
- Occasional additional travel may be necessary for industry conferences, partner meetings, and other business-related events.
- Occasional field visits to Delivery Depots and Stores for partnership and coordination.
Physical Requirements and Americans Disability Act (ADA)
- Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch and move items weighing up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the Distribution Center
