Description

The Product Quality Assurance Analyst monitors and improves the quality of our furniture products by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from production processes, customer feedback, and testing results. This role requires an analytical mindset, proficiency with data management tools, and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies to enhance product quality. Based in the Bob's Home Office or Distribution Center in Taftville, with some limited remote work, this position may require occasional domestic travel to supplier sites, manufacturing facilities, trade shows, and Bob's distribution centers.

Core Competencies & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality-related data from production, testing, and customer feedback systems.
  • Skilled in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings.
  • Ability to evaluate manufacturing and product development processes to identify inefficiencies and quality concerns.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards (e.g., BIFMA, ANSI).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Preferred Competencies & Skills

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with predictive data modeling for quality issue prevention.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Quality Assurance, Statistics, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or vocational high school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the furniture or retail industry.
  • Proven experience with QA technologies, systems integration, and data analysis/reporting tools.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, and handle/move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to move objects up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of stores and distribution centers.
  • Work includes office-based tasks, product reviews in warehouse settings, and walking during field visits.
