Product Support Specialist


Product Support Specialists are TEAM members within the Bob's Discount Furniture organization and play a vital role by assuring Stores minimize damaged product by leveraging; the receiving process, assembly /handling of product and product repair in a manner consistent with the Company's core values and vision, while assisting and enabling Stores to achieve established Sales expectations.


The primary function of a Product Support Specialist is to work with Store Management and Loss Prevention to minimize merchandise shrink by professionally assembling and repairing product and readying the product for sale in Bob's Outlet locations, while working with the Product Support Staff to establish proper handling, staging, and receiving procedures according to established Company guidelines.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive trailers of damaged product according to Company guidelines
  • Professionally repair minimally damaged product according to Bob's standards
  • Assist in reducing the amount of product sent to distribution centers into Merchandise Trash
  • Coordinate and prepare product for shipping to Bob's locations
  • Identify damaged product on Showroom Floors in need of repair
  • Work with Store Management to maintain Showroom product meets Company expectations at all times
  • Assemble Bob's Merchandise with care, working conscientiously to limit damage
  • Assist in staging Showroom and/or Outlet in preparation to receive merchandise in accordance with Visual guidelines
  • Assist with Customer product pickups according to Company guidelines
  • Assist in conducting Inventory as required
  • Observe and maintain safety requirements of Bob's Discount Furniture
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Career minded with capacity to grow professionally
  • Proven track record of back-end retail experience
  • Proven track record of product assembly or furniture repair experience
  • A Team player with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Customer Service experience

  • Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of stores
