Clinical Pharmacy Manager - Full Time

As a full Time, exempt Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Clinical Manager, at McLaren Flint you will serve to leader of clinical pharmacy programs and services, develop a strong clinical team in a progressive healthcare environment and hospital which serves as a teaching facility. Responsibilities Include: developing and maintenance of a drug policy to support optimal pharmaceutical care and promotes optimal cost effectiveness for all patients; assess, develop, coordinate, implement, and maintenance of clinically relevant tools to support clinical programs and services; aid the Director of Pharmacy in maintaining the pharmacy and an annual clinical plan with the Regional Director of Clinical Service.
Schedule: This is a full time 40 hour a week exempt position. A typical work schedule is Monday through Friday; the pharmacy hours of operation are 24/7.
About the Facility: McLaren Flint is a nonprofit, 378 bed tertiary teaching hospital located in Flint, Michigan. McLaren is affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine's medical residency programs, including family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery and radiology. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open 24/7, with shifts of 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p & 10p-8:30a and pharmacy supports Acute care services being provided by the hospital in: the OR, ED, critical care, physician order entry, & pharmacokinetic dosing. The department utilizes Omincell and Cerner and strives to optimize pharmaceutical care and provide excellent Customer service to physicians and nurses.
- Pharm D with 1-3 years clinical management experience within a Health System.
- MI license in good standing or license eligible.
- PGY1, PGY2 Residency through ASHP Accredited program or three years of clinical pharmacy experience Preferred.
- Practical work experience and ability to apply knowledge of Antimicrobial Stewardship in a hospital inpatient setting Preferred.
Hospital Requirements: Hospital orientation on start date. TB test upon hire and annual influenza vaccination
