Pharmacy Manager - Full-Time
St. Martin Hospital
Breaux Bridge, LA

Hours:
This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.

Description: As the Pharmacy Operations Manager at St. Martin Hospital (SMH), you will be the Pharmacist in Charge and responsible for overseeing the day to day pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling pharmacy activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You'll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to the Health System Director and hospital administration while carrying out mutually agreed upon programs. This position is a staffing pharmacist and includes supervising a full time Pharmacy Technician. Upcoming projects include implementation of an outpatient infusion center.

Facility: St. Martin Hospital is a 25 bed critical access hospital with an average daily census of 16 patients, and includes inpatient acute beds and skilled nursing rehabilitation unit, as well as a staffed 24-hour Emergency Room. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm and has remote services after hours. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). This position is an employee of CPS

Requirements:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Louisiana Pharmacist licensure active and in good standing
  • Minimum of one year Hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS, as well as other members of the hospital and pharmacy staff
