Our community is looking for an Activities Coordinator/Assistant to join our team.
Activities Coordinator/Assistant Responsibilities:
- Coordinate & assist in the development and oversight of resident activities as the Assistant to the Director of Celebrations.
- Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.
- Attend ALL community planned functions and coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
- Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (Evenings and Saturdays) for planned activity events.
- Regular Schedule - Full Time: Tu - Sat, 9a-5p
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate's Degree in social work, recreation, sociology or related field, preferred.
- One to three years experience working in Senior Living, strongly preferred.
- Experience with event planning & coordination, required.
- Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate with, encourage, and motivate Senior adults.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, required.
- Experience using Senior Activity Mobile Apps, such as: UniGuest, LifeLoop or other.
- Demonstrated artistic & creative abilities.
- Strong skills in organization, delegation and consensus building.
- CDL-B (P) Drivers License is a PLUS!
