Hourly Rate: $14.50-$15.72

*Mileage reimbursement & Hybrid schedule (remote case management with on-site/office visits for transportation)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supportive Visitation Program Transporters are responsible for transporting children and/or parents to and from visitation locations; ensuring safety of passengers; maintaining vehicle; recording and maintaining applicable logs; communicating with visitation specialists, parents, resource parents, children, etc.; and attending applicable trainings.
  • Provide supervision of youth and transportation services to youth in accordance with contract. 
  • Initiates and maintains ongoing communication with families in a culturally sensitive manner utilizing a family's preferred language taking into consideration a family's faith and culture. 
  • Ensures the environment for parent-child contact is safe, non-traumatizing, and promotes healthy attachment. 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with at least two years of direct experience with at-risk youth population in Juvenile Justice or Residential experience.  OR, an Associate of Arts, Bachelor, or Master's Degree may substitute for two (2) years of professional experience.
  • Transporters must use their own vehicles to transport youth and parents. Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's auto insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Mileage reimbursement for transportation.  Quarterly vehicle maintenance stipend.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age per DJJ guidelines. 
  • Proven safe driving record required as well as the ability to follow directions and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Flexible & Hybrid working schedule. 
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

About Our Program

Eckerd Connects Supportive Visitation Program is a vital service in child welfare cases in which children have temporarily been removed from the home due to abuse or neglect. SVP is committed to providing a safe “home-like” environment for children to visit with their parent(s). Parent-child visitation services involve families with children in out-of-home placement who are encouraged to maintain and strengthen familial interactions. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting that maintains safety along a continuum of supervision based on family need. Core activities include ongoing assessment, visitation, aftercare (post-reunification support), transportation and documentation.
