As a Sterile Processing Technician you will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. You will assist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the supply inventory, medical equipment and specialty patient care item maintenance. You will work with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital and with physicians, patients, and their families. What You Will Do In This Role:
* You will perform delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
* You will perform procedures related to decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for Surgical Services and Nursing units.
* You will review sterilization records and prepares reports as assigned.
* You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
* You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
* Certification in Sterile Processing is preferred.
* Previous experience in an Operating Room, Central Supply or other Material Management setting is preferred.
