Position: CNC Machine Operator – Bending Machines
Location: Farmington, CT 06032
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $18.00 – $25.00/hour (Based on experience)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our advanced Sheet Metal Fabrication team. In this role, you will set up and operate state-of-the-art CNC bending machines in a smart manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality components, supporting production runs, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC bending machines with accuracy and efficiency

Perform first-run production setups where programming, fixtures, and tooling are being developed

Inspect parts using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other tools to ensure they meet blueprint specifications

Identify and troubleshoot minor operating or programming issues to ensure consistent part quality

Perform visual and dimensional inspections to maintain high quality standards

Safely handle and lift materials up to 70 lbs, including operation of overhead cranes and forklifts

Maintain equipment and work area through regular 5S and TPM activities

Actively participate in daily team meetings and continuous improvement programs

Collaborate on special projects and support cross-functional production needs
Requirements:
-
1–2 years of experience operating CNC bending equipment (Sheet Metal Fabrication preferred)

Solid understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical drawings

Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

Familiarity with precision measurement tools

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a team
