Kelly is looking for an awesome Customer Care & Sales Assistant who wants to be a part of a family-owned engineering company that's been in Rochester, NY since 1978. This was the first repair facility of its kind in the US to offer high-quality service and technical support in the world of motors/electronics. AND… it's still thriving today, so they're looking for someone to help the growing business with incoming sales inquiries, preparing quotes, account/vendor management and technical support while providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally. You will be working directly with the owners, so this is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking for career growth, responsibility and a tight-knit team. Starting salary is $43,000 - $52,000 and includes an excellent benefits package upon hire. This is an in-office role with a Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm schedule in a business casual environment.
What your day will look like:
-Answer/respond to incoming calls from customers and potential customers to provide pricing and delivery information on technical products and repairs
-Provide customers with verbal and written quotations for replacement parts, as well as their service and repair
-Process customer orders, which includes providing necessary customer information, product data, shipping prices and total costs
-Actively research and identify potential new accounts by building rapport, providing technical information and explanations and preparing quotations
-Coordinate with internal departments to provide accurate quotations and processing of orders
-Maintain and update automated and manual solicitation reports and files with customer and vendor information
-Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures
-Become a product and technical knowledge expert by reading product catalogs, brochures, trade journals and attending provided trainings
Who we're looking for:
-Excellent verbal and written communication: This is a customer-facing role, so you'll have the responsibility of being the face of the company. This includes being able to help customers solve problems, staying cool under pressure and communicating technical topics with confidence
-Detail oriented: You keep organized and are able to multitask as you process orders, enter data and talk to customers via phone, email, etc.
-Sales experience: It's all about relationship building and customer service!
-Quick learner: You are expected to be a subject matter expert and need to be able to learn and retain technical and other information essential to the business
3-5 years in sales and/or customer service in industrial sales/distribution, preferably in power transmission products
