At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world.  We are looking to hire a key member of our Operations team to be ideally stationed at one of our bigger plants in Europe; Sandarne (Sweden) or Oulu (Finland) or European headquarters Almere (the Netherlands). Other locations can be discussed.

 

In the role as Global I&E Engineer you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for instrumentation and electrical equipment design, operation, and maintenance. You will report to the Global Maintenance & Reliability Manager and will have a primary focus on Maintenance and Reliability. The primary goal is to minimize or eliminate unscheduled equipment downtime and deploy processes, procedures, and systems that create efficient management of our maintenance programs at our production facilities within the area of I&E. A secondary focus is to provide guidance and support in design of new I&E equipment. This role requires 10% travel to our eight Pine Chemical sites in Europe and USA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to sites for I&E equipment installations and troubleshooting

  • Drive solution/improvement generations through root cause analysis process

  • Drives global maintenance and reliability processes for I&E equipment, system development and implementation to improve company-wide asset availability and lower cost of ownership.  

  • Guide preventative and predictive maintenance program

 

  • Partner with various customers, including:

  • Develop standards and audit site performance

  • Drive consistency in processes and assist in delivering necessary training

  • Support site implementation needs

  • Monitor the development of new I&E reliability technologies and techniques - develop deployment strategies as appropriate

  • Process safety - to ensure mechanical integrity programs are complying with regulations and defined procedures with regards to I&E equipment

  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance instrument and electrical equipment issues at sites and for Capital Projects as needed

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of EN 50110 (or USA equivalent, NEC, NFPA 70E) and other standards involving the I&E discipline
  • Knowledge of reliability concepts for I&E equipment
  • SAP or similar CMMS system experience (5+yrs)
  • Skilled communicator (written and verbal)
  • Experience Solving Instrument and/or Electrical Issues at a Chemical Site (10+ Years)
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • 10-15+ years with Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
