Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage industry best practices to improve plant equipment reliability.
  • Actively engaged with Operations and Maintenance Teams to transform the maintenance culture from reactive to proactive by effectively applying reliability concepts such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), maintenance best practices, failure modes identification, and equipment monitoring
  • Manage preventive (PM), predictive (PdM) and corrective maintenance programs to keep machinery running at optimal levels.
  • Leverage outstanding communication, interpersonal and people skills to work well with cross-functional teams to solve complex and repeated rotating equipment problems.
  • Reviews vibration analysis data and provide effective short-term and long-term solutions and alert plant personnel of impending failures.
  • Coordinate and provide technical supports to the Maintenance and Turnaround teams on RE issues and major equipment overhauls.
  • Manage Site Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs such as vibration monitoring, oil analysis, and thermography.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to minimize high-impact risks of equipment failures and prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in Equipment Criticality/Business Risk Exposure (BRE) Analysis.
  • Develop, monitor, and understand Key Parameter Indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), costs, and production loss impacts relating torotating equipment, and develop plans to improve equipment reliability and minimize high-impact risks to the plant.
  • Actively participate in project development to improve equipment reliability.
  • Works with the Areas to identify, evaluate, and implement reliability improvement opportunities through changes to operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and equipment upgrades. 
  • Identify and eliminate single point failures for the plant
Required Skills
  • 5-10 + years related experience.
  • Knowledge and capability to use advanced systematic and creative problem-solving tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Versed in equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics skills to provide effective short- and long-term solutions and communicate to the plant.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME and API
  • Effective verbal and written communication to all levels withing the organization.
  • Working and practical knowledge of vibration analysis and interpretation
  • Strong Documentation and Reporting skills
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor's Degree in designated Engineering or related field.
  • Cat II or III Vibration certificate
  • SMRP or Related Technical certifications
  • Six Sigma/Lean Background preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • SAP Proficiency/Superuser status preferred.
