As we continue to expand our presence in the market, we're seeking a dynamic Sales Director to lead our Sales Team to new heights. 

 

As the Sales Director for our specialty polymers business, you will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth and market expansion. You'll lead a talented team of sales professionals, guiding them with your strategic vision, exceptional people management skills, and a relentless drive for success. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic industry, while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the field.

 

The EMEA Sales director Specialty Polymer is the leader of the EMEA Specialty Polymers sales team and is responsible for growing the Kraton Specialty Polymer business in the region.  Core aspects of the job are maximizing value through pricing & volume strategies, identifying, and driving customer application development projects and developing close customer relationships. 

 

The EMEA sales Director works very closely with the R&D, Strategic Marketing & Product Management, Supply Chain and Operation functions in the company to manage and grow the Specialty Polymers business in the region. 
 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth Strategy:

  • Build and implement regional sales strategy based on global business strategy. 
  • Own and drive implementation of the contribution margin, volume, and innovation goals.
  • Participate in the definition of new business developments priorities with Marketing and R&D leadership.

 

Customer Relationships:

  • Develop relationships with senior leaders within key regional accounts to facilitate strategic partnerships.
  • Manage and support Sales managers in developing and executing account/territory plans.
  • Support sales team in negotiations, innovation projects and issue management.

 

Pricing:

  • Provide pricing guidance and oversight to sales managers. 
  • Optimize price/volume plan within the region.                                        
  • Mentor others in negotiation.

 

Innovation:

  • Drive the development and growth of the sales opportunities pipeline within the region.
  • Prioritize and review opportunities pipeline, Coordinate with R&D, Product Management and Marketing
  • Manage leads and opportunities using company CRM and other systems.
  • Stimulate hunting dynamic, supporting prospection in new areas, in line with Marketing guidance

 

Forecast and Product Allocation:

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to analyze forecasts and set volumes targets for customers. 
  • Own forecast for the assigned territory.  
  • Coordinate with Supply Planning to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

 

People management:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to sales team in accomplishing goals.
  • Provide on the job opportunities for team members to develop the skills, competencies, abilities, that align with the sales growth strategy.
  • Establish a high performance, healthy culture, hire people in alignment with our "hungry, humble, smart" culture, and develop and motivate the sales team in executing the strategic sales plan. 
  • Ensure adequately training sales staff and channel partners on Kraton compliance policies meet high standards of compliance.


 

Required Skills
  • 10-15 years of commercial experience, in (Specialty) Chemicals companies

Education, Certifications & Licenses

Bachelors' degree (or equivalent) required
