The purpose of the Technician role is to provide laboratory analytical, technical service and manufacturing support to scientists, to support the maintenance and growth of the business in various market segments. The Technician is expected to perform all duties in a safe manner and to maintain a safe operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

⦁    Carry out activities following well-defined safety and environmental standards 
⦁    Carry-out experimental programs in the fields of:

  • Compounding (extruding, injection & compression molding) and related testing, including recycling of polymers. 
  • Paving (bitumen/polymer blending and curing) and related testing.

⦁    Execute experimental programs with responsibility for quality data produced and meeting agreed deadline.
⦁    Operate experimental set-up, including smaller production size units, and contribute to maintenance of installations or equipment 
⦁    Obtain and organize experimental data according to defined methods.
⦁    Communicate experiment and data to the respective scientist or project leader.
⦁    And other duties as assigned to safely perform. Including taking care of a safe, clean and well-organized lab environment.

Required Skills

⦁    High sense of safety awareness and responsibility for own working environment 
⦁    Basic awareness of experimental techniques
⦁    Understanding of equipment procedures required to execute experiments
⦁    Ability to translate procedures into a detailed working method
⦁    Problem solving skills, a curious spirit, and knowledge and passion for equipment's mechanics.
⦁    Demonstrated ability executing experiments in in a timely and accurate manner.
⦁    Passion for hands-on work (testing, handling tools and working with somewhat large mechanical equipment)
⦁    Team player with ability to communicate openly with team on experiment and procedure walk-throughs
⦁    Professional level of English language knowledge, Dutch is preferred.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

⦁    MLO/MBO Vocational Background up to 2 years relevant experience
