Job SummarySenior knowledge of electrical maintenance and schedule and ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed when required.
Job Responsibilities- Lead for setup/ maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise
- Inspect GFCI outlets, breaker panels, fume extractors and fans
- Inspect and maintain maintenance equipment including scissor lift, single man lifts, boom lift, utility cars and fork trucks
- Inspect and recertify electrical shepherds hooks
- Transport large electrical cabinets using a Traksporter crawler system
- Oversee maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed when required
- Lead and perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations
- Senior knowledge of troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required
- Oversee an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized
- Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion
- Ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders
- Recommends cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety
- Support and communicate the mission, values and culture of the organization
Perform a variety of highly complex/advanced electrical tasks.
- Lead providing direction to lower level electricians.
- Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
- Use of hand tools and testing instruments.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments.
- Replace faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts.
- Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
- Estimates material costs on electrical projects
