Job Responsibilities
  • Involved in the formation and decomposition of system and sub-system level requirements
  • Involved in the development of test plans and procedures
  • Involved in both integration (unit) testing, as well as formal qualification test events
  • Troubleshoot faults in hardware and software, and documentation of such
  • Ensure documentation and components are configuration managed correctly
  • Involved with the analysis, design, development and implementation of new and/or existing systems/sub-systems. May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others.  Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed).
  • Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned task on time and budget
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems 
  • May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.  
  • Report of progress and status regularly
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable 
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • Participates in preparation of less-complex proposals
  • May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
  • Ability to work independently

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo)
  • Experience in a lab environment, working with hardware and software troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of test methodology / design of experiments
  • Development of technical documentation for a non-technical audience
  • Experience or involvement with RF designs and waveform testing
  • Experience or involvement with modern electronic keying architecture 

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
