Job TitleSend monitoring and assurance DirectorThis position is part of the Mastercard Send Standards and Compliance Team, within MasterCard's New Payments Platform (NPP) organization. Send is a highly visible offering focused on payments to consumers, including domestic and cross-border P2P, and business/government disbursements.
The role focuses on monitoring transaction and customer data, identifying risks and Standards violations, and on putting in place preventive and corrective actions for such risks and violations.
The position will work in a highly collaborative manner with the various regional and global Mastercard Send teams, with the Legal, Franchise, and compliance teams, and with the Send Compliance Officer.
Develop and manage a transaction risk framework which documents risks and mitigants.
Define, regularly conduct, and report on transaction and customer data analyses to identify potential risks and potential Standards violations.
Establish and implement procedures that appropriately address identified risks and potential Standards violations, both preventive and corrective procedures.
Define, regularly calculate, and report on Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
Contribute to the identification of short-term enhancements and for the definition of the long-term strategy of transaction risk management on Mastercard Send.
Represent Mastercard in customer meetings and industry events.
• Outstanding data gathering, analysis (including ability to handle large sets of data), and problem solving skills;
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Outstanding ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment.
• High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously; “can do” attitude; strong customer and results orientation.
• Work experience with AML and Sanctions compliance is a plus.
• Knowledge of MasterCard and Mastercard Send is a plus.
• Ability to travel (10-15% in a post-Covid situation)
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree.
