Job Summary and Qualifications

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the equipment, building, and grounds at the laundry. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Laundry Manager and supervises the Maintenance Tech and CBW Operators.

What you will do in this role

  • Maintain and repair, as needed, the equipment of the laundry utilizing and establishing a preventive maintenance program; determination of maintenance categories (corrective vs. preventative); establish maintenance priorities (low, average, high, emergency); evaluate maintenance complexity (basic to complex skill sets); and maintain a parts and tools inventory.
  • Ensures continuous operation, according to the design performance specifications of the building's electrical and mechanical systems without unscheduled shutdown or outages.

  • Ongoing staff development through consistent coaching, career counseling and goal setting

  • Makes routine inspections of the practices to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.

  • Provide focus on long-term resolutions to reduce reoccurring problems.

  • Meets supervisory responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and managing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

  • Responsible for the training in the safe use of all systems with the appropriate designated personnel.

  • Responsible for life safety systems, including, but not limited to, fire alarm system, security system, sprinkler inspection and testing, fire extinguishers, and mechanical room systems.

  • Ensures building interiors are maintained in a safe and esthetically pleasing condition. Areas included, but not limited to: roof, windows, doors, painting and wall covering, flooring, ceiling, and plumbing.

What qualifications you will need

  • High School Graduate / GED, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree
  • Previous maintenance experience
