Manages the work of a team to achieve company goals.  Analyzes and reports on developing experience and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and trains team members.
  • Proposes premiums that achieve company goals.
  • Forecasts the future Trends.
  • Reviews appropriateness of rating factors by plan, area, network, etc.
  • Performs ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Monitors emerging experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 6 years of actuarial work with 3 years in a leadership position preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or related field required
  • Prior Medicare bid submission experience preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred.

Professional Certification(s):

  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) or commensurate experience.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Able to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Proficient with computer programs:  Intermediate MS Office Skills, including  Access
  • Knowledge of SAS, VBA, SQL or other similar statistical software preferred.
  • Medicare Advantage and/or Part D relevent experience preferred
  • Ability to manage people, projects, time.
  • Knowledge of enrollment, premiums, and claims within business segments insured by MMO
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute strategies designed to price new products.
