This position has the option to work hybrid; Cleveland, Ohio area residents preferred.

Manages the performance of supplier's in an effort to cut costs, alleviate risks, and drive continuous improvement. Establishes collaborative relationships internally (business unit(s) and sourcing) and externally (supplier and other industry groups); helps to identify high risk suppliers and develop performance tracking / key performance indicators; maintains all necessary documents related to supplier and communicates and on-going or potential performance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with business unit(s) and sourcing to ensure collaboration with any potential performance issues with supplier along with any other.  Helps identify high risk suppliers and develops performance tracking / key performance indicators based on services being performed; ensures key contractual components are being followed.  Facilitates the need for maintaining a backup plan if issues arise with a high supplier.
  • Manages the supplier management database to determine and ensure all necessary paperwork is included in the tracking tool.
  • Enters and maintains supplier related additions or changes to the Oracle system.  Will also support procurement's contract notification system when needed.
  • Conducts market analyses and benchmarking to help determine risk associated within a certain business sector or on the particular services being provided. Understands regional and local supply markets, including major suppliers and their capabilities. Identifies short and long term improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • BS in Business Administration with Supply Chain focus (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 3 to 5 years supplier performance experience in a leading organization.
  • Proven track-record in leading cross-functional teams through supplier risk, relationship, and performance management development and review.

Professional Certification(s)

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (optional)
