Coordinates and oversees managed care contracts and activities that assess and ensure customer satisfaction as it relates to managed care contracts. Responsible for administrative, strategic, business development, and contracting activities as they relate to the external and internal managed care environment. Will be responsible for ensuring communication to the business and managed care community, as appropriate, regarding programs, services and other relevant information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in health care or business administration.
- Experience: AND, a minimum of three to five years experience in a health care-related field, where organizational and interpersonal skills involving physicians, administration, and other health care professionals were required.
- Other: Demonstrates a high level of leadership skills to effectively interface between the medical staff and hospital administration. Demonstrates a high degree of independence in responding to the needs of the medical staff. Demonstrates a high level of analytical skill and ability to determine the appropriateness of responses to physicians, resolving conflicts and developing solutions to a variety of problems. Demonstrates well-developed oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of the health care delivery systems, the local and national health care environment, and the dynamics of hospital physician relations.
