Overview:
The Diet Tech represents Food and Nutrition Services by assisting patients with food selections both bedside and through call center operations while adhering to the dietary prescription. The Diet Tech follows the Registered Dietitian's nutrition care plan as it is developed for the patient. The Diet Tech excels at customer service and multitasking on the phone and in person, and adequately resolves complaints in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years Healthcare Food Service Experience preferred.
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Degree completion in nutrition or relevant health care field or completed college credit hours in food and nutrition preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager preferred. CDM or DTR.
- Other: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Computer knowledge to include word and data processing skills.
