We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role will work closely with multiple departments to develop, modify, and troubleshoot technology systems, addressing functionality, performance, security, quality, operations, and monitoring needs.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Performs technical analysis, design and system development.
  • Helps manage a mixed of Windows, Linux and OS X technology environment.
  • Executes and improves vulnerability and resiliency management programs including patch management, infrastructure testing and other proactive maintenance tasks, including maintenance windows.
  • Performs incident response and break-fix triage for infrastructure system issues.
  • Optimizes current infrastructure using industry best practices.
  • Conducts security and compliance related scans, remediating vulnerabilities and other findings.
  • Creates clear communication/documentation for updates and information regarding IT related changes and projects.
  • Writes scripts and uses automation for tedious tasks.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.


Qualifications

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of related experience in various system development technologies, patterns, and practices.
  • Experience with or knowledge of cloud-based solutions (Azure or AWS)
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of networking.
  • Understanding of core infrastructure concepts such as networking and storage and how systems interact with them.
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
