Overland Park Regional Medical Center is one of the premiere medical facilities in Johnson County. Under general direction of the Radiologist and under supervision of the Lead MRI technologist, the MRI technologist will:
Perform MRI exams
Be knowledgeable of all MRI safety standards and adhere to them at all times.
Provide patient care
Complete MR safety questionnaire prior exam
Document GFR for contrasted procedures, following established GFR safety protocol.
Visually monitor patient throughout procedure, maintaining verbal communication.
Respond to patients needs in regards to apprehension and anxiety
Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for quality patient care.
Participate in quality control and performance improvement and performs other related duties as requested.
Learn and be knowledgeable of the operation of MR anesthesia equipment.
Be highly motivated and able to act independently of supervisor.
Exhibit strong personal skills including written and verbal communication.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current registry in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.)
Advanced registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging required
BCLS certification required.
MRI experience preferred.
