Position Summary:

This role will spend significant time conceptualizing, developing and leading the analysis of existing data related processes and functions across departments and data systems, conceptualizing automated data processes and gaining buy in. This position will drive the adoption of new data algorithms and system implementations that enable the effective use and application of Penske data across the enterprise (internal departments, customer facing tools and potentially new data-oriented revenue-earning product offerings).

This position will also develop the data models and drive the use of the connected data within products and tools for customers and our internal functions. They will understand the nature of the data and collaborate across the business to conceptualize how it can be used to enable business efficiencies and drive customer value.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop data quality processes, vision and strategy for Penske's connected fleet to bring value (algorithms, models, etc.) to the business.

• Identify data quality issues and data process gaps - develop recommendations and requirements for created solutions.

• Create and enforce a set of rules, policies and processes for data processing, modeling and use of customer and connected fleet data.

• Lead data scientists responsible for developing data models. Ensure proper use and fitness of data elements across the enterprise.

• Work closely with IT to develop solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Required in Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field.

• Master's Degree Preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in business, marketing, or IT with a focus on data analytics or data product management.

• 5+ years of people leadership experience preferred.

• 5+ years of data analysis experience.

• Advanced knowledge and understanding of analytics methods and practices.

• Experience with conceptual and logical data modeling.

• Analytical with strong problem-solving ability.

• Knowledge of tools to query and manipulate data in varying file formats.

• Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate across team.

• Ability to serve as a liaison between functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly aligned, defined, and understood.

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
