POSITION: Electronics Technician –EHF, SHF and UHF BROADBAND SATCOM SME
LOCATION: Norfolk, VA and aboard US Navy ships (CONUS and OCONUS)
JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking qualified Electronic Technicians to provide technical support and engineering services for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 283 SATCOM Branch. Successful applicants will perform electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections; and inspections on communications equipment including, but not limited to:
• AN/USC-38 EHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/WSC-6 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/WSC-8 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/WSC-3 UHF Line of Sight Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/WSC-3 UHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• A/L-7204 TV-DTS, all variants and antenna's
• AN/USC-61 DMR SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/USC-69 CBSP SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• AN/WSC-9 NMT SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
• ON-762/U Advance Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor (ATIP)
• OK-454/455 DAMA
• AN/USQ-145 MD 1325 (5KHZ)
• SRC-47
Write Technical Assistance Visit Reports (TAVR) and MAF / Debrief reports and conduct oral debriefings to management.

Position is contingent upon award.



Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Resumes must demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years general hands-on experience performing electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections on SATCOM and Broadband communications equipment / systems (experience may be concurrent).
• Resumes shall demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years specialized hands-on experience performing electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections on the following equipment / systems:
o AN/USC-38 EHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (1 candidate)
o AN/WSC-6 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (2 candidates)
o AN/WSC-3 UHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (2 candidates)
• This task is primarily for EHF, SHF, UHF, TV-DTS, DMR, CBSP, and NMT SATCOM systems support however, capabilities to support other Navy systems/equipment may be more advantageous to the government and may make the applicant more favorable for selection.
• Capability to work independently with little oversight or assistance.
• A valid unexpired U.S. Passport
• A current unexpired First Aid/CPR certification from an accredited institution (e.g., Red Cross)
CLEARANCE: Active DOD SECRET
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 10%, including international travel.
