These interns will be performing software support using C++ or Linux to resolve coding errors, assist in developing and updating code. All of the positions under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
· Performs Software Engineering activities including requirements definition, system analysis, scripting to automate processes, and design, and systems integration.
· Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve coding errors and develop new code
· Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents to develop specifications
· Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK
· Investigates anomalies and supports multidisciplinary teams for resolution
Areas of Technical Interest:
· Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java, C, C++)
· Web development (Jascript, html) and Database (SQL)
· System data structures and algorithms (sorting, linked lists, arrays, trees)
· Debugging tools
· Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence)
· Gitlab/Git Command Line
Qualifications
· Pursuit of BS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
· Basic understanding of C++ and/or Linux
· Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
· **Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance NOTE: Federal law requires US citizenship to obtain a clearance
Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
