SAIC is looking for a Systems Engineer Technical Assistant (SETA) to join a dynamic program in El Segundo, CA. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly.
This person will oversee the design, development, and test of electronic systems for a satellite application. Ultimately will be part of a team that oversees the assembly, integration, and test of the entire satellite system. Familiarity with the following is desired:
Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA); circuit design and analysis; electrical power distribution and management; EMI/EMC; survivability (SEE); Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMECA); Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA); Failure Review Board (FRB); Parts and Materials Processes (PMP). Familiar with the following is desired: satellite integration and test; satellite launch; spacecraft on-orbit initialization; satellite on-orbit operations.
Familiarity with the following is a plus: Systems Engineering; program change management; integrated baseline control; acquisition management; Earned Value Management System (EVMS). (Viable candidates need not have all of this experience.)
This position is part of a small factory support team for an east coast customer. The position reports to a local manager and several customers back east. Candidates must be able to be self-directed and self-motivated. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills both with government customers and development contractors. Good writing and presentation skills are a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors of science or engineering and fourteen (14) years or more experience or a Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience.
Experience in an actual development environment is a plus that includes electrical design, fabrication, assembly and test of electronic units. Experience in an actual satellite assembly, integration, and test high-bay is a plus. Experience in satellite test and/or operations is a plus.
